City Beach – A little of everything

There’s no telling what you might encounter on one of Hua Hin’s many beaches. (Well, actually it’s just one long, long beach interrupted by rock outcroppings.) At low tide, these Thais wade into the waves to collect shellfish off the rocks, digging into the razor-sharp shells while the waves wash over them. The white on the lava rocks is opened shellfish. It’s not easy work but all in a day’s effort to feed the family.

Diva on the beach

Not sure who she was but this model or actress had six support people with her on City Beach.

About 2bagsandapack

Lifetime journalist, author, magazine editor and publisher, now semi-retired and traveling the world. My plan, after living in Costa Rica for 14 months, was to visit a new country in southern Europe every three months to experience the culture and the challenge of adapting to a new environment, while on a fixed income. That plan was sidetracked when I was offered a job in Indonesia, providing an opportunity to explore Asia. Indonesia lasted for a 4 wonderful years but I have now moved on to Hua Hin, Thailand.
