The Christmas tree

A few years have passed since the last time I was involved in picking out a Christmas tree. This morning, Kim and I took a short ride to an informal Christmas tree lot, set up at a car wash lot. Plenty of well-formed, North Carolina-raised spruce to choose from. It was a pleasant, sunny morning, with temps in the 50s. We bought a 5-6 foot tree($35) and  door wreath ($25). Great service by this guy in the photos.

For my friends who do this every year, so many pictures might seem like overkill, but for my friends overseas, this whole process might seem unique and interesting.

About 2bagsandapack

Lifetime journalist, author, magazine editor and publisher, now semi-retired and traveling the world. My plan, after living in Costa Rica for 14 months, was to visit a new country in southern Europe every three months to experience the culture and the challenge of adapting to a new environment, while on a fixed income. That plan was sidetracked when I was offered a job in Indonesia, providing an opportunity to explore Asia. Indonesia lasted for a 4 wonderful years but I have now moved on to Hua Hin, Thailand.
