At least we got the date right this year! Last year, we had some confusion about when Thanksgiving occurred, the five Thursdays in the month complicating matters. This year, we got it right and, as a result, the Goodies Thanksgiving buffet was a success.
Our new chef, Marco from Italy, did a great job preparing the meal, which included
Southern deep-fried turkey, potato wedges, peas and onions, cranberry sauce, baked apples and gravy. The turkey was awesome and the dinner was a welcome reminder of home. Hope there’s some leftovers for lunch today.
We had a few Americans present for the buffet and a lot of Chinese-Indonesians and expats from other countries, not all of whom were there for the turkey. Thanksgiving falls on a Thursday, of course, which also is Ladies Night at Goodies and ladies 8-ball tournament night.
